Do you keep Data on all the time?

I keep my data on all the time, wifi is on when home or at friends. Wifi is off when I am travelling. I get plenty of battery life to last all day unless I am using my phone a lot for Netflix, YouTube or music streaming.

Same here. I always keep my data on. Jelly Bean should give you a pretty good battery life on the GNex.

EDIT: Yeah I mean if I bought a high end phone, no point keeping data off to limit its capabilities.

Mine's a standard 1750 mAh pack. Good enough when I'm on Jelly Bean.

I use wifi and airplane mode overnight. Not likely anyone will call and if they do I am asleep.

My GNex is connected to the charger while I'm asleep.

How bout widgets? My GNexus is not rooted. I have gmail and email widgets along with beautiful widgets. Hopefully it wont take up too much of the battery.

How do i set sync settings?

EDIT: I Go to applications running and I see maps is running even though I don't use maps. Does that mean its syncing in the back? How do i turn its sync off?

Okay stupid question. I'm leaving on a cruise Saturday. I want to shut off all data on my phone and basically just have it as a phone. Where do I do this in settings? Never mind lol I found it!

Be careful making calls on the ship, the rate to make calls from the ship's tower is outrageous. Even to send and receive texts isn't cheap normally. Last cruise I went on I left it on airplane mode the whole time and just used it as a camera and to play games.
