Personally, I like Titanium Backup, with the media sync add on. Not only is the app clean, the media sync let's me dump the backup onto one of my cloud drives, if not, two. It takes a bit, so I would do it on the WiFi . There are a litany of backup services, which I've used a few, so take a peek on the Market and see what they have. Feel free if you have further questions.

Well, for today anyway
If you're rooted titanium backup is my favorite. It took about an hour to back up my 1.5gb of backups to my box account with the built in sync. I don't really have the fastest upload speeds on my wifi though. Only like 4 or 5 mb up on my phone. Got great download speeds though. If you got good 4g coverage that might be a little faster. I've seen some pretty fast 4g speeds in my travels around different areas

Well, I tried a backup and did the reset. My notifications are back but I can't get my apps and data back, despite the GO Backup I did. When I open the app there's no data to restore. So I'm back to square one. I thought the settings on the reset screen would ensure I got some of hte data back as I downloaded apps, but it doesn't look like it's doing that. Any ideas how I could retrieve a few things? Like maybe my old texts? Luckily I'd backed up the photos and videos to my computer.
Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately, if you didn't specifically call for texts to be saved, they're gone. As far as in app stuff (login credentials etc.) You have to start from scratch. I hope it helps, even though it's not the favorable answer.
