How to disable volume button from waking up during music play in sleep mode

Using GNex with Android 4.1.1 factory image (Build JRO03C "yakju" for Galaxy Nexus "maguro" GSM/HSPA+)

When playing music with the phone in sleep mode, I would prefer the volume button NOT to wake up the phone. Is it possible and how to do that? Thanks very much for any help.

FIXED: I flash CyanogenMod 10. The behaviour above seems to be a design flaw of Jelly Bean. It's strange that a big company like Google could miss obvious practical details that a small comunity of modders found and fix.
