How does your device measure up?

Unlike computers, I really do not have anything that tells me the current state of my hardware, I would love to know if the device that I just bought is solid or not. What would be really great...wouldn't it be great if there were benchmarks to see how well our device scales. I wonder what it would be like to have a repository of specific data relating to my device.
