NexSus micro USB Port getting loose??!?!

Hi guys,


I have been using my nexus for about 6 months now and it feels like the micro USB port on the phone is getting loose. I just started to notice this when I have the charger plugged in to the phone because the phone wont charge if I tilt the phone at some random angle. However, the micro usb cable does not fall out when I am plugged in.. I still have to yank it abit to disconnect.

Do you experience problems like this on ur phone? And does your micro usb cable pin wiggle up/down & left/right when you are plugged in? I dont think it did when I first got the phone...

Are you sure it is not the charger....and not your phone...if it does become a problem you can either replace or fix it!!

i had that problem when i used a cheap silicone casing for my nexus. the hole for the microUSB was too small to fit the entire plug in. i bought a capdase casing and since then, i had no problems of a lose plug.

I have 2 chargers for mine, one is the original one that came with the phone, and the other is an OEM one I had to order. My original one is loose when plugged in to the phone and sometimes doesn't charge if you move it the wrong way, but still feels somewhat tight when you unplug it but it's nothing like the newer one that I've got. There is a huge difference between the two. It is probably your charging cable. If you have another, newer, micro usb cable I would try plugging it in and see if it feels the same.

The factory cord from Samsung I had melted in phones charge/ USB port had to get a new one . I now use the factory cord only to connect to the computer and a after market cord to charge as it does not seem to robust enough for charging the battery . This made the cord loose in the port.

I have this issue too. Luckily it still charges fine. But then again I put this on the charger at least 2-3 times a day. I was expecting it to get loose. As long as that little piece inside doesn't break then I can live with it.

Mines still charing so not really annoyed... I would just hate to see the port fail right after a year.....
