    I need help rooting

It seems my Verizon Galaxy Nexus is a little different than rooting my XOOM.

The Verizon 3G xoom was simple, but it seems there are so many threads about the Nexus it's ridiculous.

I've unlocked it, but can't seem to get superuser installed on it or restart in recover mode.

With my XOOM I was able to reboot easily in recovery mode as I changed the kernel when I rooted with a 1 step process.

I've tried repeatedly to restart into recovery and it doesn't seem to want to boot into recovery. Can't I instal superuser and go into recovery or instal a recovery app to reboot to install JB and the other zip files after?

I know I have to be making this more complicated than need be, I'm hoping you guys can get me straight, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong at this point.

:BTW I have a mac and used the apps and tutorial here if that helps.

Seems like all it did was unlock it, but everything else is broken.

Did you use my Mac script?
It should have unlocked, then installed clockwork, then gave you instructions on flashing su in the newly installed clockwork recovery

Have you tried THIS method as well? Sorry I don't have a mac so I can't get too in depth.

I used this thread info and apps, Parallels was installed on my Mac but for whatever reason it crapped out on me.
[TOOL] Root / Unlock - Unroot / Lock [Mac]

I'd much rather do this in windows, Mac is soooo inconvenient with stuff like this.

That Mac script works, maybe give it another shot, lots of people have success with it, the link Paul posted is also an easy solution if you have a blank CD laying around

Thanks Paul, I'll give it ago.

Hopefully it works, I'm not sure why the mac app isn't working.

It unlocked the Nexus then reboots the nexus after and never recognizing it again or continuing what it started. Seems odd.

Wish I had access to Windows right about now, this wouldn't be an issue.

It's not, it's a remastered small Linux OS with all the necessary files built in and a script that starts automatically and gives you on screen instructions. It shouldn't be necessary though since it is basically the same script that is in the [TOOL] thread, did you run the script or the manual method?

I ran the app from my mac, once it unlocked it my nexus restarted and stated it was unlocked and rebooted.

Once it rebooted that was it, nothing resented even when I tried the app again.
