resize contact photos on home screen when announcing a call

photos on the home screen that appear when making or receiving a call are out of focus (to small i guess to fit the size allotted) any way to set to a smaller size on the screen so they are clearer??

I'm thinking of taking a new picture for my contacts and see if they are more clear. Maybe the move from storage to the phone made them lower resolution. Perhaps if the higher res image is stored on the phone it will be better? Dunno...just a guess.
