Verizon Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean Update

According to Verizon tier 2 tech support the jellybean OTA update is being held up due to the fact that Verizon is working with Samsung to attempt to correct issues with losing the microphone during calls. I received this information straight from the horse's mouth but there are no guarantees of its accuracy. According to the source at Verizon they are attempting to get the update out by the end of July or 1st of August. But we have all heard this before while waiting 4 - 5 months for the first update from Verizon.

That's hilarious honestly, considering the devs on Rootz and Xda have had this call volume issue, sorted out for weeks now... I started with a pure AOSP build (mROM), which was nice, but lacked some features I enjoy. I was on krarvind's Slim Bean (AOSP w/ minor tweaks) for a couple of weeks, and really liked it, but my battery drain was getting annoying. Liquid has a JB Alpha out now, that's honestly, better than anything I've used to date; it's smooth, fast, customizable, and great on battery! I just find it really funny that VZW putzes around with OTAs (control issues much?), while our development communities run circles around them. Without a doubt, the official OTA (whenever it drops) will be far inferior to the ROMs that will have been out for months by that time.

If you have a Verizon phone, you MUST flash with the rom that has the word TORO in it. When I "didn't" do that, I had no service. I had to flash a 2nd time.

Yes. Toro is for Verizon GNex, ToroPlus is for Sprint GNex so make sure of that too.
