Verizon 4.04 Update Worked but Failed on install???

I have done the framework clear and it worked for me on the download. But when the phone reboots and goes to install it comes up saying
"E:failed to verity whole - file signature
and
E: signature verification failed"

Now I am rooted, stock rom, stock kernels, I have ROM Manager on the phone with v5.8.0.2 ClockworkMod Recover installed. No extra stuff at all. Any ideas of why its doing this. I have tried now 3 times with the same thing.

I'm pretty sure you need to be stock rom and locked bootloader in order to take the OTA.

Thanks for the info. I just downloaded the file from Droid Life and CWM the file. All I had to do was download RootKeeper and save the root to reroot the phone. Very easy. Again thanks for the info, it helped by making me look around.
