Still in the customization stage. Feel free to comment. I wanna know where to get those texts to replace the icons.

Can someone direct me in the right path?
Depends on which icons you want to replace with Text. for app icons on the homescreen "Simple Text" from the market allows you to make icons that can be used to replace homescreen icons. You will need a launcher that allows you to replace the icons, can't remember if the stock launcher has that capability or not.

For the softkeys, you have to be rooted and then some of the ROMS like Sorcery have a bunch of icons you can choose for the softkeys, or you can make your own and substitutes them using this method

SimpleText app. Very good, and with some fiddling and time can create truly unique stuff. Have you rooted? For me the most standout customisation is the softkeys.

Absolutely right. Only rooted a few days ago. stock android is still miles better than any other OS, check out desktop visualiser in the market. Particularly like the ability to create one massive icon taking up half a screen!

When I try to submit my screenshot I get a box that says I'm not signed in or I don't have permission to do that. Anyone know why? I can submit this comment. Sorry for the dumb question.

Did you try to insert the image via the radio button in the toolbar above the text box? The button is a pic of a tree in a frame. When clicked, a box pops up asking you to enter the path. From there, you should be able to attach away. If that doesn't work, try the old ctrl-C, ctrl-V. If that doesn't work, right click and copy image.
