Hello, Ive had my Nexus for 2 weeks and Im having issues with battery life. If i am lucky im getting less then 6 hours of life out of it. Any help is great.

Hello, Ive had my Nexus for 2 weeks and Im having issues with battery life. If i am lucky im getting less then 6 hours of life out of it. Any help is great.
Welcome. How much screen on time is there?
I have it set for 15 seconds and as apps go I have facebook and yahoo.
But how long was the screen on for? Settings/battery/select screen
I assume your stock??

IMO totally stock with facebook app running your battery time is not bad. I was getting about that when I first got my phone. Removing facebook app or disabling the sync for FB could get you a little more. Also kill as many widgets as possible. Another possibility is using battery saving app like juice defender. It will kill your data when phone is not in use. The bad part is it does take time to recover data connection.
Before you flash anything can you get back to stock? How to get back to stock using Odin
Have you backed up your files and pictures? I see too many desperate cries for help recovering deleted priceless pictures with no solution.
Need to hard reset? How to Hard Reset-Factory Data Reset.
I have Juice Defender and it is worth the minimal drawbacks. I am over 24 hours on my last charge and currently 32% left. I found my battery life improved the longer I had the device.....Meaning I was playing with it less and less. If the OP gets Juice Defender and over time, reduces activity, they will see improved battery life.
