Kindle App Problem

I am using the Galaxy Nexus/Verizon LTE model. 4.0.2

When I download the Kindle app for android it works great for a while. Then...if I reboot my phone or just let it sit for a couple of hours, the app resets itself when I open it. Books are deleted. App is de-registered and I have to sign in all over again. Any thoughts?

(PS: Amazon seems a bit baffled. They have not been able to troubleshoot this as of yet)

Welcome to the forum, i haven't experienced any problems with the Kindle app, I use it alot! But I am un-locked and rooted on a 4.0.3 based ROM.

Have you tried clearing the apps cache & data and then registering the device again ?

Also...I had rooted and tried 4.0.4 ROM. It did the same thing.
I am unrooted and back to stock at the moment.

Is it possible you have two devices registered on Amazon with the same name ? Try going into Amazon from a web browser & deleting the devices from there (un-install from phone first) and then re-install and re-add the device.

I have tried that as well. It is the only device registered.

Dang, bout all I can think of... if I think of anything else, I'll let ya know fer sure.

Hopefully someone else will have some ideas.

I have the same issue. I am rooted and flash roms like crazy so I figured that was why..... Nope...... Not flashed in a couple days and still have sign in and redownload my current book whenever I want to read... bummer yeah.

You should call Amazon and start a support ticket. May help raise awareness of the issue...maybe.
Amazon.com, your account, contact us section. Just start a ticket, enter your phone and they call pretty quick.
