When I went to a Verizon store to check out this phone, the battery cover really bothered me. Its obviously cheap and not made to last. Its hard to believe they made such a great phone and did such a poor job on something so simple. I shouldnt expect to have to spend more money buying a replacement part after a week of owning it.
disclaimer: I dont own one.....I'm not due for my upgrade till March.

I gotta tell you I felt the same way in the store ...its actually good not bad at all ..you need to hold it in hand without that security thing weighing it down..I switch batteries everyday without issues ..phone build is good IMO...

I really like the back. Once you figure out how to put it back on it's really not difficult. People keep calling it "cheap" but it's Kevlar! It's not plastic. I love the texture and everything about it. Just say'n.

I just wish the back would stay on more firmly. I used a "ghetto" phone mount for the car, nothing but velcro attached to the dashboard and another stuck on the back of my OG Droid, worked great. But when I tried it with the GN the back comes off the phone when I try to pull the phone off

ok I just got my new Galaxy Nexus from Verizon via FEDEX, removed the cover as per the directions, put in the battery and simm card, and guess what! The cover doesn't fit properly! One bottom corner won't snap in not matter how I try. It's like the "wack-a-mole game" So i googled my problem and i found this forum! Tomorrow I will go to the Verizon store and see what the experts suggest.

My stock cover never went on right, when I got the extended battery that cover went on with no trouble at all....go figure $25 to get it the way I wanted it.

I am on my FIFTH battery cover. It's always the bottom left corner! Verizon has been good about sending me replacement ones for free but I wish more people would tell them about it because they said it's an unknown issue. That drives me nuts.

i can't get mine to fit proper at all

Glad to see this forum here. BUT I'm really concerned about this issue. Those of us with Verizon are committed to this phone for several years and the design of this cover sucks. Mine doesn't work and I have only a couple of weeks to get it fixed or return the phone. After this the liability of the phone and cover is mine. What I'd really like to know is whether the cover is defective or is it the phone? Is this a VERY common problem or only a few of us? I gather that Verizon had changes made to the design of the phone and specifically the lower part of the phone where this cover has the problem.
I have order a protective cover for the phone. Will that solve the problem of this cover popping out at the bottom?

I would definitely call Verizon and have them ship you a new battery case while your phone is covered. My thoughts are that it is a large issue but not enough people actually care to call Verizon about it.
How bad is the cover popping out? With my cover I can't notice the battery cover coming out.
