Android 5.0 Jelly Bean; Something Too Soon?

Over the past few days, I have begun hearing grumbles regarding the new OS being kicked around by Big G. Now, through some of the other forums, it has been suggested that it could be rolled out as early as Q2 2012. Now, I am a huge fan of progress, but is this pushing changes out too soon? My fear is that they start pushing upgrades out at a blistering speed, than subsequently forego quality. Does anyone have any insight on this? If so, does anyone have any idea as to the proposed changes? I would assume that we would be some of the first individuals receiving a new OS roll out when it inevitably comes out. Any opinions are greatly appreciated.Thanks,-Arborij

The new OS is supposed to be for tablets so we wouldn't get it. Just like honeycomb was for tablets, jellybean will be for tablets. It boasts being able to switch between operating systems on the fly. I don't know how I feel about the other one being a windows OS. I'd have to see it in action to decide if I like windows with android. I think android/linux OS would be better

I thought Google said they wouldn't have separate tablet OS's anymore? That ICS & subsequent would be for both phone & tab?

That is what I have heard as well. ICS was meant to integrate a phone and tablet OS into one going forward. Meant to lessen fragmentation.

Any clear feature release of Jelly Bean - everything has only been speculation (for features) that I have seen at this point...

Yeah this has been all over my Asus transformer forum. The biggest difference is the dual booting OS 's which I think is great. Computers can do it so why not tablets? Plus its great for the people who will want both android and windows for the price of one. This will be great competition against apple.
