Google Contacts or Verizon Backup Assistant

It is really annoying having two listing for the same person. One from my gmail account and other from Verizon Backup Assistant. Can anyone help me merge the two accounts seamlessly.

I think there are some apps that can merge the contacts for you, but you could also open the Contacts app, press menu, and choose "Contacts to display". Then just choose your Google account.

What worked for me: open contacts, menu (3 dots bottom right), contacts to display, select gmail or VZ backup account. If you are still showing dups, gmail Contact Manager from your pc account offers an option to merge contacts. Open contacts in gmail, select more tab, find & merge duplicates.

Don't forget that within an individual contact, you can tap edit, then tap the three dots again and you will get an option to join contacts.
