Galaxy Nexus overheating straigt after unboxing

I don't know whether this is in another thread, however i have concerns about the heating up fo the device.
I purchased the phone a week ago and opened it 48 hours ago. After the first charge, whenever i use the phone for 10-15min it gets hot to touch and seems very unorthodox. Coming from the iphone 3gs, i could use that for hours and not have any concerns.

Is this a standard hardware issue or is it something wrong with my model? I will be ringing Samsung however any assitance from the forums will be appreciated.

*Apologise for the mis-spelling in title*

Welcome and no it shouldn't get that hot were you using it at the time of charging that would make it hot..

I tried searching for the 4.0.2 update but it says no updates at this time. Im in Australia so thata prob why.
But i connected my wifi and disable 3g when im in my house, so im not using big battery draining programs.
Its a technical error with the device for sure

My GN is 3 weeks old and over heated after listening to music, one text and then a 5 minute phone call. It got extremely hot. Removed the battery (it was cool) and seemed OK after that???

They will heat up. Use a temperature monitor to get more detail. I use Temp Monitor (paid) to keep tabs on my temps. You can also use other apps to check heat. ~120F and you should let the phone cool down. Most processors can handle ~160+F before major issues occur.

If you're using it while it's charging, it's going to get hot.
