Hi everyone. I'd like to know if I can still use CWM Recovery to use my nandroid backup after flashing a non-rooted or corrupt rom. I'm trying to compile AOSP and if all goes well the OTA zip will not be rooted. Will I be able to revert changes?

You should be able to yes. I've flashed stock, then reflashed CWMR and restored a backup before.
Tapped via Galaxy Nexus LTE..

If you're currently stock, you'll need to re-root and flash CWM recovery.

Okay I just flashed the AOSP rom I compiled and it worked. Forced close on some apps including Gtalk and Facebook. Low sound output unlike in AOKP and CM9. I removed the recovery folder in the OTA Zip because I saw it in a compile guide on the net so it won't overwrite my recovery folder.
Everything worked perfectly. CWM recovery mode still there. I'm restoring back to CM9. I'll try to root and busybox my build then add the mods from Apex, AOSP, and CM9 that I like. The rom was only 94MB and it had a bootanimation similar to the Gingerbread emulator.
Thanks Everyone.![]()
