Glad you like the app. It was one of the first apps I bought when I got my OG and I've yet to find a more full-featured music app (more than just a player). In addition to the playback quality I also liked the robust list of file formats supported and the flexibility of the equilizer. Support has been great, I get regular updates and the developer's site reports it has been updated for ICS.
Another great support feature is you only have the buy the liscense once. When I had my OG, I added a Galaxy Tab to my gadget collection and I was able to add PowerAMP without buying another liscense. I also loaded it onto my GN without purchasing another liscense...very cool.
Anyway, yeah, I'm a fan of this app. Hope you enjoy it!

Hello sven,
i have the same problem. Musics application of my nexus device can not recognise the musics i have putted on music folder. i have made sure that all file explorers can see the music files in music folder so i am sure i can successfully downloaded the my musics into internal storage. I putted music files from my PC and all musics are mp3 format.
Why could not musics application recognise the mp3 files in music folder? do i have to perform an extra convertion on my mp3 files or something? i am really curious.
I've got my music organized by artists folders in the "music" folder. Within those folders in have their albums as folders and the song files are in there. The music app was able to see those sound files just fine.

I did like power amp when I tried it but ultimately i prefer Google Music. I have a good amount of music that I like to cycle through and being able to upload 20k songs for free and be able to sync to any device - awesome. The icing on the cake for me is that if you know you will be out of service area for whatever reason, you can make some of that music available offline. The store isn't anything amazing but the service is!
