Rescan SD Card App

So i downloaded this app and it says it does not require any special permissions, but after i backup the app and when i want to install from the apk file, suddenly it requires permissions. Can this happen?

Hmm, when I checked the app store it still said no special permissions needed. What permissions is it saying it requires when you try and install the APK?

it says allow this app to:

• Storage
• Phone calls
• Development tools

Storage makes sense for that app, unsure why it needs access to your phone app though. Development tools might be just to install outside the market, but not 100 percent sure on that one. Would just installing again from the market not work for you?

That was what i did, install from the market again. But i was just wondering why would the permissions change when i install from apk. Thanks anyway
