New Tasker behavior with Jelly Bean

Hello!

Ever since my Jelly Bean (OTA) upgrade, my phone (stock) is misbehaving.

I used Tasker to keep the screen on when plugged into a power source. Ever since Jelly Bean, the screen dims and shuts off as if Tasker is not even there. Other apps such as CarHome and Alarm Clock Plus both over ride the timeout. However, Alarm Clock Plus occasionally timesout now (something it never did).

What do you suppose is causing this?

Apps might not be compatible with JB yet?

I would email the app devs the same questions and see what they say. They might not know about it yet.

That didn't totally occur to me. I'll drop a note in the developers forums.

I had no luck at the Tasker forum.

Is there another app that would allow me to set the display never to turn off when it is powered by USB/AC?
Tasker is an awesome app, but for some reason the upgrade to JB broke that one aspect for me.

In setting under dev options there is a place where you can click to keep screen on stay awake hopefully that might be what you can use for now

Thanks in forgot about that setting. Tasker spoiled me.

Unfortunately, that particular item is greyed out. When Tasker task is running, the box is checked (but grey) when the task is not running, it is not checked (still greyed). It looks like Tasker is doing something.

I cycled dev option switch and rebooted but to no avail. That particular option in dev options is always grey.

Jelly Bean issue?
