It amazes people when I use wallet. I think some of the cashier's don't trust what I'm doing.

Dress as Storm Trooper, walk into BigRed, find the droids you are looking for.
OK I downloaded Google wallet on my phone before I flashed a custom rom and it work great. I have now flashed some new roms with Google wallet. What are people doing to use Google wallet on another rom just use the new one or freeze the one with the rom and restore the original one from TB. I have been nervous to use, don't want the secure element to pop up.

I suggest reading the thread on XDA for GW: [APP] Google Wallet (Flash: 1.1-R41v8, APK: 1.1-R47v1) [18/12/2011] - xda-developers
What is being recommended is to "reset Google Wallet" before changing ROMS and then re-initializing after ROM loaded.
Also the OP this XDA thread has a link to the latest Google Wallet which was updated recently by Google. I installed this update right over the older version of GW without any reset and it worked fine. The latest version of GW is 1.1-R47v1. Changelog for GW 1.1-R47v1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1392
Lots of good info in that GW XDA thread.

I have wallet on my Nexus (VZW) but haven't used it yet, What is the newest update # for it? (The Flash: 1.1-R41v8 is what mine shows) I haven't updated it on my own but my phone is set to automatically update apps. (But it also doesn't show in my Apps list when I look on the market) Am I up to date or should I download the one in the thread? Thanks
I used GW at McDonalds and tripped the cashier out. I've still got a $3 credit to use up. If more stores had the technology, I'd use my phone and quit carrying a wallet.
Anyone else using NFC for transfering data? I was a little disappointed that the technology is app specific (i.e. I tried a send a website to my wife using Dolphin Browser and it prompted her to download the app instead of pulling up the link) and pictures/videos/files don't have built in ability to transfer. After some research on YouTube I found a video that recommended using File Expert. Now my wife and I can open pics and videos in the Galary, click the File Expert icon, bump backs, agree, and it sends. We've transfered a few videos about 20-30 seconds long with no problems.

The guy at 7-11 thought I was crazy until he saw transaction complete! Works great at Jamba Juice & Starbucks.
