Change GN from yakjuzs to yakju

Hey I have a galaxy nexus version yakjuzs. I want to update my phone from ICS to jelly bean while changing the phone over to yakju so I get my updates from Google. From another forum I received the following link to change it over to yakju

But it should be taken into account that my phone is yakjuzs ans not yakjuxw so will it work for my phone?
Secondly I don't want to root my phone so if there is anyway to get the jelly bean stock update without rooting please let me know.
And thirdly can someone please explain about flashing? What does flashing mean per se ? Thanks in advance

the only mistake in the title of the article is that instead of being specific about yakjuxw to yakju/takju, he should have mentioned simply from non takju/yakju without being specific about the build because the process is the same. flashing does not mean rooting so you can flash without rooting. you can continue on doing it in the manner thru your link or from the link in my signature.
