SMS Apps ... ?

Was getting messages from some one and go SMS was telling me it was from someone else... Switched to hancent and so far so good.

Handcent seemed very sluggish and slow to me, I despise Gosms, too many features for such a simple app! it takes over your phone!! IMO of course. sticking with the stock for now.

I completely wiped my phone and reinstalled GoSMS and so far so good!

I loved hancent on my DX, but don't like it on th GN anymore as it feels buggy...not totally optimized for ICS yet I guess?? Got the GoSMS, it is less buggy and working fine for me. I like the speed of the stock app, don't that its not totally customizeable.

Using handcent, don't think it's ICS optimized, but it works well.

Im using handcent, theres a few things I noticed:

*Crashes when "testing notification"
*Does NOT let you set your account picture
*If you have different color icon notifcations for certain people, along with diff color LED's, they sometimes dont work, causing me to get the same color for every notification instead of individual ones.

I loved handcent since the day I discovered it on my OG Droid, cant wait til they optimize it for ICS

I just did the above couple of times just fl make sure and I have had no problems. Tested notification : led showed and notification popped up.

I wonder..i haven't had a problem for few days in sending wrong person text but did today...i added a new contact this morning.. Could that be it?

I've been using Handcent and switched from GoSMS and even tried CHOMP but they all work fine except one issue. Whenever an iPhone 4S user is sending a lengthy text with an emoji icon (I've installed each of the emoji plugins), I will not receive the message whatsoever!

I dug around and have seen that emoji encoding for iOS 5 has changed, but all the SMS messaging apps claimed that the emoji icons have been updated to support iOS 5.

I've played around with the settings for Handcent and GoSMS and had the iPhone user resend the text using each of the apps, but I still won't receive it. Is there a setting out there I am overlooking or is anyone else even having this problem?

Someone pleassssse help.
