Shortcuts opening the wrong program

Has anyone clicked on one thing? And have another open? For instance, clicking on "messages" today (the green icon) brought up the my fitness app. THe other day, my "weather network app" was bringing up something that wasn't that...Exiting out and retrying doesn't fix it, only a reboot seems to.

ANy thoughts? Bad nexus? Bad 4.0.1 bug? I can't find much googling it.

Try going to settings>apps>all>launcher>clear data. This will clear your launcher. Reboot.

I usually close the app in the recents and it goes back to normal.

This just started happening to me in the last couple days. I've had my nexus about two months but I hit the drippler application and the Google store opens. I tap on my messaging and get the weather. Go out and come back in doesn't fix mine either. Turning off the phone worked.

That happened to mine this morning. My Nexus is less than a week old, so it's a little disconcerting. It happened with my green messaging icon, as well. I tried it repeatedly, and it opened the same app. After this, I went into the app manager, and force-closed the app that kept opening. Then, it began opening another app. Both apps that it opened were apps that I'd activily used within the last 24 hours. Additionally, after once it began doing this, I went into the app menu to try and open the messaging app - same thing... After shutting down and restarting the phone, the messaging app shortcut pointed to the correct app, and has worked properly ever since.

It happens often for me when opening sms. It opens last seen app .

Mine started doing that today too! The Messaging app shortcut went to phone, play store, and weather at different points when I clicked on it. I restarted and it is working right again. Wonder what they updated recently...

I have this every so often, but then my OG Droid did the same thing so don't rack it up to a bad Nexus. I would say it is something in the launcher, either stock or otherwise. I use Nova, but had it on the stock one too. Not sure what the issue is, but maybe with enough people looking into it, it can get resolved.
