Google Wallet - Prepaid is unavailable
I used Google Wallet all the time. It will no longer work because of that security hole. I realize that and was patient about, but now some people have it working. I have tried using the browser method to download the app. I tried the hacked version of the app. I even tried using market unlock to the network to sprint. No avail! I hope someone can help me here. Why is it not activating the prepaid?

I DL'ed the apk and installed it on my GNEX today. I selected the Google prepaid card as my default payment and even received a $10 credit.

I am having the same problem even when using market enabler to say I'm on T-Mo which was actually working last week. After uninstalling and re-installing GW I have received the same error saying that it is not available.
If I find a fix I will post it here and also.... welcome to the forums

market enabler seems to be broken on the GN. I don't know if it's due to the Play update or just the enable not handling the Nexus.
I took the less preferred route and just grabbed a patched APK elsewhere..

It's because you had a Google Wallet account established on your Google account previously. If I understand correctly, those installing GW for the first time in the past week or so were able to do so and provision a pre-paid card. Those of us who had provisioned a prepaid card before the security hole was identified cannot access it anymore, even if you ninstall and reinstall the application. Since the advent of the Play Store, you can't even install, update, or use an existing installation of GW on a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I'm hoping someone comes up with a workaround before too long, I miss using it.

I was told by Google Wallet support that we will all get the use of our prepaid card back within a week or so (that was Monday). I had ~200 on my PrePaid card as I used to use it for gas. I told them I was none too happy that they had my money and I could not access it. They would not even allow me to retrun the 200 to my AMEX. I told them I would call AMEX by next Friday and dispute that charge if functionality was not returned. We'll see what happens.

That really sucks. They have to give you your money back. My concern isn't the $7 or so that's stranded on my prepaid card; I can't use the app at all anymore. Hoping for a new work around soon.

Good for you! AmEx is great about stuff like that. If Google won't make it right for you, I'm pretty confident that AmEx will.
