Network Coverage monitor application

I am looking for an app that reports network coverage and signal strength in the background so I can see how the coverage is in the areas where I am mostly staying.
Knowing GNX seem to have coverage issue with VZ, I just want to test this. Having GPS/Location data along with signal strength would be very cool, but not sure if it would mean asking too much..
