    Otterbox defender series.

So I broke down and spent the 50 bucks for this thing, and it's a love hate relationship.
I hate the size it's adds to this sleek phone, it feels like a tank in my hand.
I love that I feel as though I could drop it off a roof onto concrete with no damage.
Any one else use this beast? Your thoughts on anything better?

Love it, except for the weird glare it gives to the screen.

I went with the Otterbox commuter.. silicone skin wrapped in a hard shell.. I tried the other and didn't like the added glare... but it feels solid!!

I have actually removed the clear panel that covers the screen on my Defender. (I have a Zagg InvisiShield installed already.) That got rid of all the glare I had noticed. Purists might scoff, but if the screen has scratch protection already why bother with something that detracts from using the device? I also own the Commuter case, which I use day-to-day. I will swap to the Defender if I know I'm travelling, because of the added protection.

How well does the clip hold to the belt? If I had have known you could toss the lear panel, I probably would have bought it as I too have a screen protector.

Back in December when I bought it there weren't many cases to choose from so I went with the defender. Yeah it's freakin huge, but I got used to the size. Is that an otterbox in your pocket or a box of kleenex? It doesn't slide in/out of pant pockets very easily.. However I have a loft bed and a couple times it took the plunge from about 5 feet up. I was glad for all the bulky protection. Never really had a problem with the screen cover, found it to be really responsive too. However the silicone case while protective, was an ultra lint magnet. I hated that. Also the silicone seemed very slippery. I noticed that I had to increase my grip on the phone or it would just start to slide unless I rested it on something, weird. It also began to stretch a little bit and loosen around the corners of the inner plastic case. Besides being a great pocket mop, and a bit on the slippery side, I like the protection and will continue to use this case for travelling or special circumstances. However I am on the hunt for a better day to day case that is more functional even if it is less protective.

I have the commuter, I can't stand those screens on the defender series. Also, I buy all my cases off Amazon, get the same product for almost half the price, I've gotten commuter cases for my last three phones (Rezound, Bionic, DX) all commuter cases all from Amazon, all for half the normal price. and all mine came in retail packaging as well.

I've had a few Incipio cases as well, those are also really nice.
