I just got a red shiny Mercury case from South Korea for something like $6-7 free shipping. Great price. Fits well, not amazingly. I was hoping for more snug.

I liked it, up until i realized i want something that doesnt feel so polished shiny greasy. If you have any dirt/grease on your hands/fingers it will get on the case and it just always feels a little slick like that.

Anyone have an idea for something similar in form and price but something that is more matte and GRIPPY?

Mine is in the Incipio Silicryllic (spelling?). It's a two piece cover, which I favor, as there is a soft inside to protect the phone, then a hard shell. So far, it has been the most rugged case that I've owned.

Otterbox Defender here.. Slightly bulky, but offers insane protection, and has a rubber outer shell that is almost impossible to lose your grip on

You know that really depends on why you want to buy a case. The otterbox would give better protection but the ultra hybrid would give the phone still its slim design.

Have the commuter and the defender. Defender too big and heavy and the commuter is really slippery. It makes it a bit bulkier and is thus harder to grip with the slippery back.

that's my main concern. I don't like the case too bulky. Is the difference between commuter and hybrid in terms of bulkiness, huge?

May I suggest checking out digital walker shops in the malls for comparison. They have both brands now
